In 1930, Richard Estrin, a former beauty supply salesman with a chemistry degree, co-founded Para Laboratories in New York. He named the brand "Queen Helene" after his infant daughter, Helene. During the 1950s, Estrin collaborated with beauty consultant Ina Lee to test products in salons and conduct educational sessions led by trained cosmetologists. Over the years, Queen Helene has become a cherished brand, with its products being passed down through generations.
